Today we cross to the Caribbean coast after birding the local area then lunch at the famous Miraflores Lock to watch the massive ships transit the Panama Canal. We will drive the length of the canal arriving for an afternoon walk on the Caribbean side of Panama.

After the morning bird walk we will drive back to the Inter American Highway then up in to the mountains close to Costa Rica and spend the afternoon birding the hotel and the local trails.
